What is a Tower Garden?

A Tower Garden is a clean, easy-to-use, eco-friendly vertical aeroponics growing device. In a nutshell, it is an instant garden that can grow fruits and vegetables year-round inside your home! Utilizing the same technology that NASA uses, these tower gardens can grow larger plants in less time than regular gardening techniques. They don’t require soil, weeding, or digging, and eliminate most of the physical labor of traditional gardening. Rather than getting nutrients from soil and the sun, plants in a tower garden use a nutrient rich water and a light system to mimic this environment in a more efficient way. They come with all of the supplies you need to begin growing your garden, so they are ideal for beginners or new gardeners!

What exactly is Aeroponics?

In the world of gardening, you may hear terms such as “hydroponics” and “aeroponics,” which are really just fancy words for the way that the plants get their nutrients, specifically ways that do not use soil. Hydroponics is actually a term used to describe 6 different methods of growing plants with water-based solutions rather than soil. Aeroponics is one of these methods in which plant roots are actually suspended in the air, and get their nutrients from a special type of nutrient-rich water. This method uses no soil (or even soil substitute), no pesticides, and 90% less water than other gardening methods.

What (and when) can I grow a Tower Garden?

One of the most convenient features of an aeroponic garden tower is the ability to grow fruits and vegetables regardless of the time of year! Some plants are better suited for indoor growing vs outdoor growing. The ideal crops for an indoor Tower Garden are leafy, non-fruiting vegetables and herbs. Fruiting plants, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, and squash are ideal for outdoor gardening. They will grow big and hang low to the point where they reach the floor. Some of the best foods to grow in an indoor Tower Garden are the following: Kale, Basil, Cilantro, Lettuce (Bibb, Romaine,  Mustard greens, Dill, Mint, Spinach, Swiss chard, Microgreens, Herbs (Lavender, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage),  Collards (all types),  and so many more!

What type of Tower Garden is right for me?

There are 2 different types of Tower Gardens - the Tower Garden HOME and the Tower Garden FLEX. While these are both aeroponic tower systems, they have slightly different looks. The main difference is that the Tower Garden HOME is designed for only indoor growing, while the Tower Garden FLEX is designed for both indoor and outdoor growing. The FLEX system can also handle some larger, fruiting plants that are not ideal for the HOME system. To learn more about the differences between these two systems, click here.

Benefits of a Tower Garden

There are so many benefits to owning a Tower Garden, from convenience to nutrition. Let’s take a closer look at some of the ways a Tower Garden could be perfect for you!

Fresh veggies year round

Because the Tower Garden can be used indoors, it can grow plants year-round! Using lights that mimic the sun and a nutrient-rich solution rather than water, the Tower Garden grows plants just as well inside as they do outside. Plus, without having to worry about the weather, your plants will grow in a more controlled, stable environment. This assures that you will get great, consistent growth every time you plant.

Use up to 90% less water

Aeroponic gardens are also an extremely eco-friendly option for gardening. Today, typical agricultural methods use up to 80% of the USA’s water supply and even 90% in other countries! Tower Gardens use up to 98% less water than other gardening methods, helping to conserve much more water in the long run.

Get up to 30% higher yields

On average, crops grown this way are 30% larger, and some specific crops can be up to 65% larger than those grown in soil! And because they grow larger naturally, this doesn’t sacrifice their nutritional value at all. You get the same exact plants, the same nutritional value, and same great taste, just larger!

Grow up to 3x as fast

Research has proven that aeroponic Tower Gardens can grow full sized plants 3 times faster than regular gardens. So, you can have fresh vegetables and herbs in a matter of weeks, not months. This also means you get more harvest cycles per year!

No digging or weeding required

Another benefit of tower gardening is the convenience. Because there is no soil, there is no mess! You don’t need to worry about weeding, digging, keeping out critters, or getting dirty. So if you are not a fan of scraping dirt out from under your fingernails, this type of gardening just might be for you. Aging parents who love to garden but are unable to get outside will love to care for their Tower Garden.

Saves space

And finally, aeroponic gardens take up significantly less space than regular gardens. They are small enough to be used indoors, even in an apartment! The plants grow vertically, so it takes up 90% less square footage to grow the same number of crops. Dozens of plants can be grown in a tower that only takes up 3 square feet of your home!

Aeroponic Tower Gardens are worth the investment because they are convenient, eco-friendly, easy to use, and yield amazing results! Consider adding one to your home to provide you and your family with fresh vegetables and herbs year-round.

In addition, the Tower Garden makes a great gift! Give the gift of good health with a Tower Garden this season!

There … I said it. It’s not just about selling Juice Plus+ and the associated nutritional products … it’s about truly understanding the importance of good nutrition. Why? Let’s look at a couple of snippets reported by the National Institutes of Health on the current state of nutrition education in medical schools! Get ready...Of the medical schools responding to the survey, only 30% have a separate class dedicated to nutrition education. You read it right: even with 88% of the instructors indicating that the level of nutrition education in med school is insufficient, only 37% require the MINIMUM RECOMMENDED 25 hours of classes. Also prevalent is the trend toward doctors becoming specialists as opposed to remaining “general practitioners.” The effect of this is that patients are more quickly "farmed out" to these specialists, who in most cases, end up treating their symptoms instead of addressing the root causes. Part of this means that patients' diet and nutritional needs are overlooked, which in turn means that advice about their bodies' immune response is not addressed, the need to re-balance the guts' biome basic to this. So, what exactly is Aeroponics? Aeroponics is an advanced form of hydroponics - the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment rather than in soil. Aeroponic systems use water, liquid nutrients, and a soil-less growing medium to quickly and efficiently grow more colorful, tastier, better smelling, and incredibly nutritious plants.
